I already have a 6.5v supply feeding into the chassis to supply the David Winter FM module I have substituted in for the blue band. I think it is running about 5.5v with a couple of series diodes I put in there to drop the voltage.. I could likely stick in something like a 6CB6, which are good to about 40mhz and pull out one of the diodes to get the filament voltage right. I'd have to jump some screen voltage over to it, but it might be a fun experiment. I'm trying to add some windings to the oscillator coil to make it reach the low end better, but I suspect trouble on the high end after I am finished. Hmm. I'd have to make a tube adapter....No idea if that 6CB6 will oscillate in that circuit. It's really an amplifier. Man, you really have me thinking.....
