The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I mostly collect accoustic cylinder and disc phonographs, but I have some radio/phonographs. I was lucky to stumble across a gorgeous unit a EH Scott Metropolitan. The changer and the amp work, it has been recapped at some point. Cosmetically it’s fantastic, just a wonder to behold, but the tuner is dead, I get nothing not even static with a decent antenna. This is outside my skill set and was wondering if there is anyone who repairs these or can point me in the direction of someone who can get the electronics fully functional…

Nice looking chassis in great condition. I see a nice 3 speed Webcor changer in the background. I had one years ago in my college days.
FYI - You do not picture the speaker. Would have had a 15 inch speaker, probably the 15inch Jensen 2 way coaxial Any vintage permanent magnet 8 ohm speaker or speaker system would work. Built circa 1948.
Also, much simpler model than the post war 800-B as your Metropolitan 16A has is no short wave band and no motor driven tuning system. Still, a major piece of audio - 28 tubes total including a pair of push pull 6L6 output tubes. Also, this model includes the 4 tube Hermon Homer Scott dynaural noise reduction system to deal with both record scratch and turntable rumble.
The major work is to replace all the filter caps and the wax/paper foil caps and any metal bathtub version caps.
Properly restored electrically, be a good player with a good speaker enclosure.
Those photos were of the chassis, it has a cabinet with a 15” Jensen speaker.. as you can see here.
Your cabinet is the CHIPPENDALE. Very nice example.
