The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Hi!

Just thought I'd share this short video of my Sixteen playing this morning.

I have serviced the power supply/amp chassis in December with all new capacitors, checked resistors, tubes, etc. I am waiting to be done with school for this year before I tackle the tuner chassis. I just wanna take my time and perform the finest job I can. I'm not playing the radio very much until then, but today I just HAD to hear it.

Enjoy! ;)

It sounds real nice. You are going to enjoy that radio!
Nice work.

Nice posts on the Scott and the Stewart Warner. What radio station was playing on the Scott 16? I am in Chicago and can sometimes receive Canadian stations on the Allwave 23. Thanks

Hi Thomas!

Thanks for the fine comment.

The station playing was my home transmitter at 700kHz (it's an SSTRAN AMT3000).

Will sound very good with a CD player. Mine has plenty of good bass without the juke box boom quality.

Thanks. We do the same thing here, Ramsey transmitter to the Allwave 23 in the dining room. 20's and 30's music for our house parties.
