EH Scott Radio Enthusiasts

The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

After many years, I'm beginning the process of resurrecting my Scott. The 7-pin plug that goes on the end of the cable that goes between the expander unit and the amplifier (at the amplifier end) is broken. Where I can get one of these replacement plugs? What is this type of plug called? If I knew its name I could look it up. Thanks in advance for your help (any advice is always appreciated too). I'm sure I'll be posting MANY more questions before this journey is over!

Thanks Norman.

Confirmed my suspicion. I am going to pencil correct my copies of the early and late diagrams.

Otherwise, the resistors in this chassis are really good.

This 7 knob receiver is late enough to have factory installed .05 MFD 600 volt caps, consistent with the later factory bulletin to when servicing any early or late AW-23 to replace all the 20 plus .1 MFD 400 volt caps with the .05 MFD 600 volt caps.

When I did the re-cap on my Allwae 23, I used .1 uf caps except for one .05 in the audio section. The only difference I can think that it would make,is a slight  change in the bypass frequency in the RF and IF stages.

This doesn't seem to cause any problems.

Thanks Norman.
