I am not sure if this is appropriate to put on this site so I will ask first. I have been looking for two knobs for my Phantom Deluxe for some time. I was missing one regular round knob and one of…Continue

Magic eyes

Probably a dumb question, but for those Scott radios with two magic eyes, is the second magic eye for the fm? Ie. One for am and one for fm?

Difference in Scott Phantoms

Would someone be so kind as to explain the difference between a couple of Scott Phantom Deluxe tuners?  I have two Scott Phantom Deluxe tuners, each with 8 knobs, AM/FM (old FM) and logging scales…Continue

EH Scott Pinch knobs

I recently mentioned I ran into a local gentleman that I found that said he could duplicate EH Scott wood knobs.  I needed a couple of pinch knobs for a radio I am working on and he also duplicated the round knobs that I recently posted a picture of.  I had originals of both and he used those for his modeling.  Attached are a small run of pinch knobs that he produced.   There are eight knobs here.  One of them is the original.  Not sure how well the detail of the picture will show up as I used…See More

"Wow! Amazing!  I have some knobs here, that were moulded plastic copies of wood knobs, made 25 years ago when our local club was trying "new" technology of making molds with dental silicone...not nearly as nice as those! "

"I suspect the knobs were done with a press back then. Having a die cut, you could punch out many knobs each day. Today's laser tools are superior though. Kent"

"I should have asked earlier. I am only aware of the wood knobs that are on the Phantom. Were there other styles or wood knobs that were used on on other EH Scott radios? If so, I am sure Ben would be happy to produce them."

Forrest Wagner replied to Forrest Wagner's discussion EH Scott Phantom Deluxe knobs
"Kent, I am sure Ben would be willing to make a run of them. He does have one each of the round and pinch knobs (see, I used the correct name). Now that the design on the knob is digitized, the laser does the work on creating the design on the face.…"

Scott knobs?

Posted on December 3, 2020 at 9:02am 2 Comments

I only have one EH Scott radio that was put together from several Phantom Deluxe radios I acquired.  That said, these radios came with some other parts that I have sold or are selling.  One of the things that came with these radios is a set of knobs.  I have no clue if these are EH Scott knobs, if it is a complete set, what model they were for, etc.  Can someone confirm if these are, or are not Scott knobs?  Thanks much!…
