"I think they probably all did have them, but my experience in the current era is that about half of them are missing. They help to keep the light going up through the signal meter and dial a bit better, but they work well enough without them. Kent"

"Be sure the tuning cap mounting screws ate loosened and tightened again. Same for the terminal screws for each set of capacitor plate assemblies."
