fair price for an allwave 12 deluxe amplifier with good chrome
Hi to everyone. I was wondering what would be a allwave 12 deluxe amplifer with good chrome and no tubes. My rthanks in advance

Are you asking because you need one or you have one to sell? You can look at ebay for prices on many Scott items, but the BuyItNow (BIN) prices seldom get bid, so don't use those as a guide. There is an AW12 supply on ebay now, BIN price is $199 and its rusty and it isn't selling.
Unless someone needs it, you probably won't find a buyer - most folks aren't going to shell out $$ for a shelf item. If needed, what someone is willing to pay will be governed by what they already have in their set, condition and how long they have been looking. All that said...if the one on ebay was really, really nice and I really, really needed it, then the $199 might be ok.

Curious cabinet - not a documented Scott offering. Looks like some generic cabinet for any brand radio.
Appears to be an Allwave Deluxe (AW-12), but the 2 additional controls suggest a hacked tuner.
Sure both are power cords? Scott shipped the amp with 1) a normal power cord and 2) a couple foot length of twisted wire to a long shank toggle switch serving as the power switch, mounted on the right side of the cabinet.

both have a wall plug on them, I don't know how they are hooked up in the circuit

As Dave noted, I suspect one of the wire pairs is the on/off switch function. Why it has a plug on it - who knows. Of course, as he also noted, the tuner for this set is altered. The knob layout isn't normal for any Scott - looks like someone added a couple controls to their AW12. Many hams and amateur operators hacked Scott sets in the 50s and 60s. Who knows, the connector might be part of the set mods - is there a electric plug (female) added to the back of the tuner? If so, I'd guess an extra switch is now a front panel on/off and the old switch wires plug into it. It would make a decent, quick-disconnect power connection to the tuner.

Would the extra plug have anything to do with a phonograph? That cabinet looks like it was built to have a phono inside it.
