Is there any chance you can post the rest of the brochure?  This is the first time I have seen a brochure for the Export receiver.  Distribution may have been limited to authorized Scott distributors (department stores at the time).  The odd amplifier was made from military surplus parts that Scott Radio Laboratories was stuck with after military contracts were abruptly terminated after WW2.  In annual stock reports Scott Radio Laboratories informed share holders that they were expecting to be reimbursed the substantial cost for the parts.  From a shareholder perspective it would not have been in the best interest of Scott Radio Laboratories to use the parts for other purposes if reimbursement was on the table.  Hence I believe the low profile offering.
