The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

Can anyone provide further info on the FM Tuner shown ? We're any other such cabinets built ?
FWIW, I'd like to find one for daily use.

Dave, the stand-alone FM tuner is a fairly rare Scott item: I only have serial numbers for 7 of them so far. There is data available in the Scott Info Archive link up above. Go into Set Folders and then FM Tuner. The Mode' cabinet was built solely for the FM tuner. I have not seen an FM tuner installed in any other cabinet either. I'd be interested to hear from anyone on the forum here if you have one...I'd like to be sure we have all the serial numbers on these that we can get.

If you want more detailed photos, etc., I have one in my collection and I'd be happy to provide pictures.

Agreed, the "mode " cabinet is "one of one". By sheer numbers and known abundance, Meissner dominated this field. My experience with the later is that it drifts, though not profoundly so. Thank you Kent for the reply. What is your experience with your Scott FM ?

That Scott FM tuner introduced 1940 is for "old prewar" FM. Not of much use today because the commercial FM band was reassigned after WW2.

Yes,a lot of post war Meissner FM tuners around. There was one with my pointer AM Philharmonic.
