Scott serial numbers

As most of you know, I've been gathering and analyzing Scott serial numbers for over 20 years. I have a couple requests....first, if you haven't sent me your serial numbers, please do. Also...if any of you have a confirmed date for a set/serial number, please send me that. There is a warranty tag on ebay at the moment, these are great, since they have the date and serial number on them. A letter with a date is also good confirmation. I would greatly appreciate any info you fellows can provide. I'll post more about serial numbers here in the future.

I just purchased a Philharmonic AM-FM from Merle Jones in California today. The serial number is YY-312. I suspect you have this one, but I wanted to make sure. I'm so thrilled to have this beautiful radio in my collection!

Hi Kent, 

I recently purchased an E.H. Scott radio at a garage sale and truth be told, had no idea the story behind the company. The serial number is CC-110. I'm not sure if that number has ever been registered here or of its true origin/make/year. 

I'm new to the game and would love to learn more about E.H. Radios!

I do have that serial number, it is a model 16 set, circa late 1937. You can find more info right here, click on the "Scott Info Archive" link and go to Set Folders, and open folder "16-18". You will find an owners manual and more there.

I just picked up an Allwave 12 dual dial.  I was going to send you the serial number but I can't find a data plate or evidence where it once was.  I have other Scotts and am familiar with the plates.  Any ideas?

The 2-dial sets are the last produced before Scott started adding serial numbers. A few 2-dial sets have a grease pencil number on them, but it is unknown if it is a number or just a mark for a set sent in for repair. The serial numbers I'm collecting begin with the AW12 Deluxe model.
