The Fine Things are Always Hand Made
I have my Allwave 23 sitting next to a couple other radios, found this tag on the floor, belong to the Scott? If so where might it have been stuck? I don't see any places inside of the cabinet where this might have been. Also just starting to mount the receiver into the cabinet. Since this receiver was not bolted from the bottom how do you know when it is pushed forward enough? Stop when it is close to the inside front of cabinet, or should there be some sort of spacer, or stops on the…Continue
Hello all. It's my understanding that this forum may be a source for the escutcheon and handle for the band switch on a E.H. Scott AW 15 radio. It would be greatly appreciated if you could head me the right direction on this. Thanks Steve Pierce

I need a schematic for a BFM Phantom Deluxe, Serial # TT-331, 22 tube receiver chassis and the mating power supply/audio chassis. In the meantime, I am referring to other Phantom documentation. Any suggestions?
Does someone please have a good scan of the tag that came with the FM converter, as well as the tag dimensions? If yes, I wonder whether it could be please shared. I need one and I am considering placing an order for a replica. Thanks, Regards, Jiri
Anyone have a set of escutcheons for a beam of light set? Would like to have a complete set with front panel, but at least the large tuning dial brass escutcheon is needed for a set I am building. Thanks
Does any one have a amp as described above?
Question for anyone with AW15 restoration experience.
Have a nice 15 (late) and had the radio working and tuning the broadcast band until the band switch started to loosen.
The set screw on the collar just before the shaft enters the gear box became loose. (Don’t touch anything if this happens to you!)
Needless to say, exact position for the turret, the antenna contact points eccentric cam…Continue
I am working a beautiful original Scott 800-B6 that I picked up this fall. The unit was advertised on E-bay and located only about 3+ hour drive from where I live outside of Milwaukee, WI. So.... I went for it and ended up the winning bidder.
The story goes that it was once owned by a family in the LaCrosse, Wi area. Reportedly the family that originally owned the radio also happened to own a Ford dealership or two in that area. The story I was…Continue
I picked up a tuner and amp at the recent radio auction in Indy, but no speaker. So I am looking for one. It has an octal plug on it and the speaker has two field coils:
One at 680 ohms and the other is 125+65 ohms (it is also split)
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I had to ask a friend to do me favor and make a copy of a paper published in Scott News in 1994. This "new" Scott News were published in 1990's. I wonder whether the issues of "Scott News" have been scanned and saved somewhere. My internet searches were futile. Thanks, Jiri
Boys and girls,
I just got an Allwave 23 and a Model 16. More to be revealed, but the quick summary is both are in " good" original condition.
The Allwave chrome is not great, the Model 16 chrome is pretty nice.
Cabinets and grill cloth are original and appear to be restorable without refinishing.
There may be more available as he sorts through…Continue

Hi - I recently came across these 3 items, and have too many other projects(guitar amp related) to restore these - one tuner is super clean - would there be any interest in the group of 3? I am in Wichita, KS and have no way to ship these, so the would need to be picked up or meet somewhere not too far off from here - any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks - Brad Kelly.…Continue
Ever since I first heard of EH Scott radios and joined this forum, I've been looking for a Philharmonic to "fall into my lap". Well, when Ron R. sold me his Marine SLRM I saw his AM/FM Philharmonic sitting in the corner. When he offered it for sale, I knew I would own it, I just didn't know how soon. Now, a couple of months later, it's here in my possession. Thank you Ron!
This will be a major project including some re-chroming. I want to do the radio and Ron proud! I…Continue
This chassis, the power supply chassis, speaker and instruction booklet were reputedly removed from a Sun Oil tanker many years ago. The chassis is complete except for the aluminum cover for the oscillator coil and in quite good condition. The date on some of the capacitors is 1933. The only coil pair is short wave, but I do not know for which band. The power supply chassis has been significantly and poorly modified, butchered really, possibly because if it was on a 1930s tanker the supply…Continue
One of the filter chokes in my Masterpiece V has started buzzing loudly. I've tried tightening the screws, shimming the winding and dipping the choke in wax all with little success so my thought is to have the choke rewound.
Does anyone know where I would find:
1. Where I would find the value of the MP5's filter chokes?
2. Who would perform this type of service?
3. Would it make sense to have both filter chokes rewound even though only one…Continue
I purchased this 1939 philharmonic 30 tube Beam of light in a warrington cabinet, with all 9 knobs and a 15" pedestal speaker and with all of the chrome covers in oct of 2013, and i planned on being able to take the time and restore. But, circumstances running a business gave me no time to restore. contact me through this website if interested. You may see some photo's on this site under my name. serial # RR-223. Priced right!
