Scott serial numbers

As most of you know, I've been gathering and analyzing Scott serial numbers for over 20 years. I have a couple requests....first, if you haven't sent me your serial numbers, please do. Also...if any of you have a confirmed date for a set/serial number, please send me that. There is a warranty tag on ebay at the moment, these are great, since they have the date and serial number on them. A letter with a date is also good confirmation. I would greatly appreciate any info you fellows can provide. I'll post more about serial numbers here in the future.

According to my records, AA235 has been documented and it is an AM 9 knob beam of light set.   Kent should have this.  I have worked to put the Philharmonic version with the serial number.  It gives me a better sense of the production time vs serial number.

I recently purchased a Scott Marine SLRM Model that has the serial number 456. It appears to have been produced in July 1945. It currently does not have a power cord, so I do not know if it works. I need help on how to properly and safely run power to the unit. It has a strange 3 prong configuration.

Recently acquired 1936 Scott All wave 23 serial number P 649. Owner deceased and seller to my intermediate was son of estate who knew nothing. Hoping to power it up with variac and deal with consequences. No model number, only serial number. Which manual applies? Many versions evolved in 1930s. Beautiful chrome, original speaker. Warrington cabinet.

Is there a way to determine the model number and data of manufacture from the serial number?

your dial and control knob configuration - you have the 19 tube Scott Phantom, including the 6 tube amp's count. Introduced Sept 1938 and offered for about 1 year. 

(Replace with the 20 tube Phantom Deluxe in August 1939 having an additional control, a voltage regulator and revised 6 tube amp, etc)

Dave gave you the model, and based on the serial number (all dates are estimates, there are no official records - that's another story), this set dates from Q1-39. I can't be more precise than that.
