The serial number F-121 was built on 10-Nov-1932, so your set was built just before that date. You said it was exported to PR in Jan 32, but it was probably sent in Jan 33, since it was built (most likely) in Nov 32. As others noted, the prefix has never been tied to assemblers. Movies of the assembly of AW15 sets show many people handling the components and chassis of the sets. It is doubtful we will ever understand the meaning of the prefix.

I see you have the twin speaker set. Does your example have the blue glass Wunderlick tube for 2nd detector and AVC ? (Left side, 3rd tube towards the back). End of 1932 seems to be when AVC was added to the Deluxe and 56's replaced the 27 triodes for the osc and audios on the receiver chassis. The couple 12 tube Deluxe with AVC examples I have had are really good receivers.
