EH Scott Radio Enthusiasts

The Fine Things are Always Hand Made

As most of you know, I've been gathering and analyzing Scott serial numbers for over 20 years. I have a couple requests....first, if you haven't sent me your serial numbers, please do. Also...if any of you have a confirmed date for a set/serial number, please send me that. There is a warranty tag on ebay at the moment, these are great, since they have the date and serial number on them. A letter with a date is also good confirmation. I would greatly appreciate any info you fellows can provide. I'll post more about serial numbers here in the future.

sorry about that they are from scott 800b early and later mods

I suspected as much, but wanted to confirm...thanks!

E.H.Scott Allwave 23 - "Thank you for your purchase" letter dated February 10, 1937.

Serial number U-480.

David....thanks. That is a new serial number and always good to have another date. Thank you!

Curious. What is the latest AW23? What is the earliest Philharmonic?

Scott -

The highest AW23 serial occurs (by far) in the A prefix. The current highest is A-883. Outside of that prefix, the highest AW23 number is K-692. The lowest Philharmonics are the ones in the D, E and F prefixes, the lowest being D-656. But its close there, as E starts at 660 and F starts with 682.

As far as hard dates go, I do not have enough of them to give a good calendar date for any model of set...

Kent, do you watch the Ebay adds for the old chassis to show up, and log those too - or just the ones members post here?

85036

What does that number associate with?

Yes. If they don't have a picture, I always ask
